Welcome back, SHU Racing 2019!
The season is officially underway and the team have been raring to go! We've been down in the lab preparing the returning team for the upcoming season, as well as parading the SHU Racing 2018 around the Sheffield Hallam City Campus in order to recruit a new intake of students.

Promoting at the catering, sports and fresher's fairs, the team managed to draw in over 150 sign ups! We pride ourselves in welcoming students from all levels and courses, making the experience of being in a racing team fully accessible. From here we will be inviting those intending to get involved to a welcome presentation (and informal social) and then onto individual interviews, so we can best appoint new recruits to respective departments.
Hitting 1000!
Following last year's successful progression in our social media management, we recently reached 1000 followers on our Instagram! The platform is one of the best ways to share our activities with businesses and other racing teams and we will continue to fill people's feeds with the team's progress throughout the coming season.
IMechE Visit
SHU Racing were fortunate enough to be visited by Chris Smout of the IMechE as he made his running visit of universities along the length of the UK. The team had the pleasure of showing Chris around their facilities, as well as introducing him to some of the Managers and 1st year students. The managers, Samuel and Adam (pictured) talked about the upcoming developments of the 2019 car, and how being involved with Formula Student from first year has shaped the experienced team members. It was a joy to host Chris at Sheffield Hallam, and are looking forward to the 'Learn to Win' event the institute is hosting in early November.
