SHU Racing Welcomes 2021 Team

Introduction meeting for new and returning members

Following on from our successful ‘Give it a go’ event held last week, this week we have held our welcome meeting for all new and returning team members. This meeting often fills a lecture theatre in the Eric Mensforth Building so we were all pleased to see that despite the event being online, 58 students were in attendance.

The welcome meeting is a great opportunity for everyone to hear what each manager is planning for their department this year and the type of projects that students could be involved with, as well as learn more about the Formula Student Society and their ideas on running socials that adhere to government guidelines. We also talked about what each member stands to gain from being a part of SHU Racing and how it can further develop their employability skills.

Meet the Team is an opportunity for us to give you a chance to learn a little more about the people who make up SHU Racing. This week, we welcome our new manufacturing and Impact Attenuator manager, Dom Jepson. Dom will be overseeing the entire manufacturing process for the internal combustion car.
