Yorkshire Regional Meetup & Sponsor Shoutouts!
Yorkshire regional Meetup
Last Tuesday, the team attended the annual Yorkshire meetup to discuss new ideas, designs and limitations with Leeds, Bradford, Sheffield, Huddersfield, and Hull. As always, it was great to see everyone and catch up after the two-year break due to covid. The teams have some great and innovative ideas, and we very much look forward to seeing them down at the competition in July!
Sponsor Shoutout
Red Seal Racing
A handful of team members had an opportunity to attend a shakedown test for one of our sponsors Red Seal Racing. It was a great opportunity for attending team members to get an insight into race car setup, the equipment used and what goes into getting a BMW race car ready for the upcoming season. We wish them the best of luck and hope they have a clean and successful year!
Hauge Fasteners
Our long-time sponsor Hauge dropped off some titanium goods for this year’s car! As weight reduction is one of the fundamental philosophies and we are chasing every gram, we continue to increase our titanium part count with this year opting for titanium wheel studs and nuts, resulting in a 45% weight reduction of the 32 components. With these components being unsprung and rotating, this weight reduction will have significant impacts on the dynamic characteristics of the car.
